Full Root-level Access
Discover just what ‘full root-level access’ means, what benefits you will have and ways to make use of them to enhance your server.
Having root-level access to a server means that you can view and update any file on it, which includes important system files. You can also install software which can modify particular settings on the server during the process, so that the installation can be performed only if you are signed in as the root user. The latter has full privileges, i.e. you will have full control over the machine whenever you want and you will be able to perform anything you want. You can also generate other users either with identical rights or with fewer rights, based on what you want them for - day-to-day tasks, other server admins, etc. To be on the safe side, it's usually recommended to employ the root account only when you actually need it and not for tasks that you can do via other accounts. You can use a web-based graphical interface or a Secure Shell console to connect to the server and to control it at the root level.

Full Root-level Access in VPS Web Hosting
When you get a
virtual private servers from us, you'll have full root-level access in three cases - if the server includes no hosting Control Panel at all, or in case you select cPanel or DirectAdmin during the order process. In the first case, you will be able to modify any part of the system through a Secure Shell console, while in the second, you can still use SSH in order to connect and to make modifications, but you will also have a graphical interface accessible to control your world wide web content and almost all of the system settings. The root access makes our virtual server plans a very good choice in case you would like to run any software which you can't install in a standard shared website hosting account. With the last Control Panel option - Hepsia, you will be able to connect by way of SSH and to control the content on the hosting server, but the root access rights are more limited.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers Hosting
In case you pick the cPanel or the DirectAdmin website hosting Control Panel, you will have full root access to your new
dedicated server, regardless of which of our packages you will select throughout the signup process. The very same is valid when you choose not to install a Control Panel at all. All of our servers will provide you with the possibility to run both very resource-demanding applications that are too heavy for a shared web hosting account and applications which have particular requirements as to what the software environment on your server needs to be. The latter is something that can't be achieved on a shared machine, since no server-side software can be installed on it. The difference between the abovementioned solutions is that without having a Control Panel, server management can be done only from a console, whereas if you get cPanel or DirectAdmin, most system settings and your website content will be controlled via a graphical interface. If you choose Hepsia, that is the last Control Panel option on the order page, you will get a server with limited root access.
